The Main Characters

The two main characters are Sunny, the light-rabbit, and Olga.

Sunny: is a light-rabbit, gentle, endearing, cheerful, wise, and slightly mysterious. He has white fur that shines as though made of light, golden eyes like small warm suns, and a violet-colored nose, inner ears, and whiskers. He appears suddenly in the life of the young girl Olga and changes her world. He peeks his little head out from between the branches of a bush, leaps toward Olga, and nothing is ever the same again.
What does Sunny like to do? He loves to hop, jump, run, and chat with his friends; to watch a new day dawn over the meadow; to see how flowers and plants are washed by drops of dew and begin to drink from the cool water. Sunny loves the company of the girl Olga — talking with her about important things, hearing her call his name, tickling her with his violet whiskers, letting himself be cradled in her arms. He also loves playing tag with ladybugs, competing with grasshoppers to see who can jump the highest, and admiring butterflies. Sunny savors every moment intensely. He sees beyond the visible. He loves life. He gives importance to small things, because he believes that life is made of those small everyday things. He is very special, unique, and singular — just as the girl Olga, his dear friend, is too.

Olga: is a ten-year-old girl going through a somewhat difficult time. She broke her leg while skating with friends, and her parents, who had to keep working, brought her to stay in the village with her grandparents Eduardo and María. Near the grandparents’ house was a meadow full of flowers. That is where Olga would go to sit in the sun, spend time thinking, dreaming, and watching the clouds. They came in different shapes and sizes, white, grey, and dark. Olga loved the way they drifted across the blue sky, the way they joined together to form shapes that transformed into others as they broke apart, only to disappear somewhere along the horizon.
It was in that meadow that she met Sunny, the light-rabbit.

Sunny’s World

Sunny’s world is beautiful. He looks at things with his sun-like eyes and lights them up with his brightness, his goodness, and his truth.
Our little rabbit greets each day with enthusiasm and curiosity. What adventures await him? Sunny talks with the flowers, the birds, and the small creatures that live nearby. Los personajes principales

Los dos personajes principales son Solete, el conejito de luz, y Olga.

Solete: es un conejito de luz, tierno, entrañable, alegre, sabio y un tanto misterioso. Tiene pelo blanco, que resplandece como si estuviera hecho de luz, ojos dorados, como pequeños y cálidos soles; la nariz, las orejas por dentro y los bigotes son de color violeta. Aparece de repente en la vida de la niña Olga y cambia su mundo. Asoma su cabecita de entre las ramas de un arbusto, salta hacia Olga y ya nada es como antes.
Y ¿qué le gusta hacer a Solete? A nuestro conejito de luz le gusta brincar, saltar, correr, charlar con sus amigos, ver cómo nace un nuevo día en el prado, cómo las flores y las plantas se lavan con las gotas del rocío y empiezan a beber del frescor del agua… A Solete le encanta la compañía de la niña Olga, hablar con ella de cosas importantes, oír cómo le llama por su nombre, hacerle cosquillas con sus bigotes de color violeta, dejarse acariciar en sus brazos. También le gusta jugar al pilla-pilla con las mariquitas, competir a quién salta más alto con los saltamontes, admirar las mariposas… Solete disfruta intensamente cada momento vivido. Ve más allá de lo visible. Ama la vida. Le da importancia a las pequeñas cosas porque cree que la vida está hecha de esas pequeñas cosas de cada día. Es muy especial, único y singular, como también lo es la niña Olga, su querida amiga.

Olga: es una niña de diez años que pasa por una temporada un poco difícil. Se rompió una pierna patinando con sus amigos, y sus padres, que tenían que seguir trabajando, la llevaron al pueblo, a casa de sus abuelos Eduardo y María. Cerca de la casa de los abuelos había un prado con muchas flores. Ahí se quedaba Olga para tomar el sol, pasar un rato pensando, soñando y mirando las nubes. Las había de distintas formas y tamaños, blancas, grises y oscuras. A Olga le gustaba cómo se deslizaban por el azul del cielo, como se juntaban creando figuras que se transformaban en otras al fragmentarse, para desaparecer en algún punto del horizonte.

En ese prado fue donde conoció a Solete, el conejito de luz.

El mundo de Solete, el conejito de luz, es hermoso. Solete mira las cosas con sus ojos-soles y las ilumina con su luz, con su bondad y su verdad.
